Im Alyson, but you can call me Aly
My photography journey began long before I ever held a professional camera. As a child, I watched my father create home movies and still images, preserving moments in a way that felt almost sacred. My grandmother documented her life through Polaroids, and through her, I learned the power of nostalgia, memory, and storytelling. Film, texture, and the beauty of everyday moments have shaped my perspective ever since.
By high school, I knew photography was more than an interest — it was instinct. In 2020, while still in school, I officially launched my business. My first meaningful session was my cousin’s engagement, and though the nerves were real, the moment I began documenting their connection, everything aligned. It became clear that photojournalism — honest, intentional, emotionally driven — was the language I wanted to speak through my work.
I approach photography with equal parts artistry and heart. I’m inspired by cinematic love films, vintage aesthetics, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. I believe the most powerful images aren’t forced — they’re felt. A hand resting on another. A fleeting glance. The in-between moments that carry the weight of memory.
What I value most is connection — learning your story, understanding what matters to you, and creating imagery that feels timeless rather than trendy. Photographs that don’t simply document a day, but preserve how it felt to live it.
I’m here to tell your story with intention, elegance, and authenticity — wherever your love takes you.
Let’s create something enduring together.
MORE ABOUT ME
I married my high school sweetheart — the love of my life, and building a life with him is my greatest joy. We live in southern Indiana with our two sweet doggies, Pluto and Millie, who make our days feel full and cozy.
At the core of who I am is a deep love for Jesus. It quietly shapes the way I love people, honor relationships, and approach marriage with care and intention. I believe love is something to be handled gently... something worth protecting and remembering well.
I’m very girly at heart. Pink will always be my favorite color. I love coffee (and matcha… deeply), slow mornings, handwritten notes, vintage finds, and anything that feels warm and meaningful. I’m a hopeless romantic in every sense -- movies, books, real-life love stories… all of it.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me hosting friends for dinner, baking something sweet just because, singing or dancing around the house, or spending time with the people I love most. I value connection , the kind that feels easy, safe, and genuine.
Photography, to me, is about more than how something looks. It’s about how it feels. The quiet glances. The laughter. The love that feels steady and true. If that matters to you too, I think we’ll be a beautiful fit.
